In addition to the other projects, Right Steps provides extensive, permanent outreach initiatives, which aim to give back to the community through a variety of methods and strategies.
One of the main components of these initiatives is the Right Steps Christian School, which at this time, includes elementary through middle school grades for local residents and residents of Susana Homes. Many children from Susana Homes and the nearby communities are enroled and attend classes daily at the school, which has become one of the most invaluable components of the local community.
Another outreach initiative is Right Steps’ evangelical project, which includes spiritual outreach through the planting of local churches, including the Church of Christ at Susana Homes. This church was established in 1998, soon after the home opened. There were no other congregations of the Churches of Christ in the area close enough to provide spiritual guidance for the staff and residents of Susana Homes.
Right Steps conducts a number of various initiatives that contribute to growth and development of the community through outreach, including community health campaigns and other activities aimed at increasing grassroots involvement for the local residents.
The objectives of these initiatives are to strengthen the local community through projects that directly give back to the people, building them up to improve opportunity for future generations.
